Tingredients:

• 1x tin Scout Canning’s Ontario Trout with Dill
• 1 slice crusty bread
• 3 tbs mayonnaise
• 2 tbs fresh tarragon, minced
• ½ cup extra sharp cheddar cheese, grated
• 1/3 green apple, thinly sliced
• Sea salt to taste

1. Open Scout Canning’s Ontario Trout with Dill and ogle its beauty. Pour most of the tin liquid into a small bowl with the mayo and tarragon and mix until well combined
2. Spread a little under a third of mayo mixture onto one half of the bread and grill mayo side down in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Grill until golden brown and crispy, then add the same amount of mayo to top side of bread and flip, repeating the process.
3. Move grilled bread to a board and pile on the shredded cheddar. Hit it with a torch or give it a ride under the broiler until melted.
4. Arrange the apple slices on top, followed by pieced of trout, dots of remaining mayo and finally a healthy dusting of sea salt. Serve immediately.
